Textures

Since I started this blog, I have been feeling like testing different things in my way of working with photography, and of course, share them with you.
I have been checking how some people´s style of working can get really interesting, by using the textures.
Today i have been wondering , what it is with the textures?, Why so many photographers are crazy about them?, Why some of them can´t work without adding as much textures as possible to their original work?...
The thing is , even though I don´t use them normaly, I felt today like trying some different way of editing , and change the final look of the pictures, just for fun, without getting too "over the top", still been simple and clean shoots.
This weekend, Lukas offered me an excellent session, with really nice poses and great atittude!

Simple things

Afternoon sun

Something that has been captivating me for a while , it´s the afternoon sun, and how to make nice pictures using it.
I really love how some photographers manage to work against the light, and the lovely lens flare make their pictures outstanding.
I have been working in getting this effect done, i have to improve the technique, but, after some editting this are some of my shots.

Children

Today I post two more drawings, including the very first drawing from the serie "Children", from where the idea started some time ago. on pink dress is supossed to be my daughter Noa, and the boy from previous post is my son Lukas.
Most of these drawings are inspired in the kids that are part of my life, my friends kids mainly, so don´t be surprise, if you know me, to recognize your small people in these illustrations.

Winters end

This weekend, we have already start feeling that spring is actually coming! So I felt the need to hurry to take, what could be, the last snaps of the winter.

Lovely Linjan puisto in Helsinki has been the subject.

Even though this blog is gonna be mainly about photography, i want to start sharing with you this drawing from the serie "Children".
Simple and cute, watercoloured drawings where the children are the main thing. I will soon post some more, hope you like it!
